How to use GrabVideo

GrabVideo turns a post or page link into direct download links. It takes about ten seconds and works the same on a phone or a computer.

Download a video in five steps

  1. Copy the link

In the app or website, open the post and tap Share → Copy link. For a news article, copy the address from the browser bar.

  2. Paste it into GrabVideo

Go to grabvideo.link and paste the link into the box. On mobile, the Paste button does it in one tap.

  3. Press Grab & Download Video

A short window opens while GrabVideo looks up every available version of the video.

  4. Check the preview

You will see the video preview, its title, author and length, so you know it is the right one.

  5. Choose a format

Pick a video quality (for example 1080p or 720p), M4A audio or MP3. The file is saved to your device.

Where to find the link

Instagram
Tap ⋯ or the paper-plane icon on a Reel or post → Copy link.
TikTok
Tap Share (the arrow) → Copy link.
X (Twitter)
Tap the share icon under the post → Copy link.
Facebook
Tap Share → Copy link. On a computer, you can also copy the video address from the browser bar.
Reddit, Threads, Pinterest
Use Share → Copy link on the post.
Vimeo, Dailymotion, VK
Copy the address of the video page.
News sites
Copy the address of the article that contains the video.

Videos with separate sound

Some platforms deliver the picture and the sound as two files. When a quality is marked “Video + audio joined in your browser”, GrabVideo downloads both parts and combines them into one MP4 on your device. Keep the tab open until the download finishes.

Saving only the sound

Choose M4A to keep the original audio without any loss, or MP3 if you need a file that plays everywhere. MP3 conversion happens on your device and takes a few seconds for a typical clip.

If something doesn’t work

The video opens in a new tab instead of downloading

The platform did not allow a direct download. On a computer, right-click the video and choose “Save video as…”. On a phone, long-press the video or tap the ⋮ menu → Download.

“No downloadable video was found”

Make sure the post is public, contains a video and that you copied the link of the post, not of the profile.

The download is very slow or stops

Long, high-resolution videos are large. Try a lower quality, or use a computer with a stable connection.

I can’t find the file on my iPhone

Open the Files app → Downloads. To move it to Photos, open the file, tap Share → Save Video.
